A unique product for cleaning water by removing oil and heavy metals through a simple technology, very cost efficiently. We use nature’s own way of cleaning water and removing pollutants.
This technology can be used in any environment and is easy to handle and maintain.Axon Filter System can be used to clean process water, clean oil-spills by skimming off the surface or by pumping up ground water that has been contaminated, to prevent it from polluting drinking water.
The same technology can be used for many applications. That means, all places where oil should not be in the water. All our filters are P-marked according to the Swedish regulatory body SP and in their tests shows a cleaning of 99.9 %.
The joy of having a boat is often overshadowed by a heavy maintenance work. Therefore, many owners have applied antifouling to protect the bottom from growth.
In most cases, particularly with older boats, there are heavy metals and other toxins in the paint to prevent growth and these toxic materials are released when the boat is washed. To prevent the ground and nearby water from pollution, we offer a unique filter that picks up the pollutants.
Our solution has proven in both field and lab tests to meet and exceed the set targets by the Swedish regulatory authority. We offer filters for cleaning wastewater when washing boats.
This will prevent heavy metals from reaching the water in the marina or ground water below, which will protect life in the area.

One of the absorbents that Axon Miljöteknik (Environmental Technology) uses in the AFX©.
AFS 30:27 is a pure natural product, thermally treated, without chemical additives. The peat AFS 30:27/AFX 30:27 has been tested during long time at various institutions at Luleå universities. These test show a unique absorptions capacity and that secretions of absorbed pollutants hardly occurs.
The water content in Axon AFS is only about 10 % of the weight, to be compared with other absorbents –based on mineral or organic raw materials that can contain up to 50% water. The low water content means also that the risk for moulds in the absorbent is small compared with absorbents containing high water contents.
Absorption in Axon AFS works with absorption, which means that the pollutant sucks into the absorbent. This means that entirely saturated absorbent is not sticky and that secretion is insignificant. The thermal treatment of peat, form a resin layer on the surface of the granulate. This resin layer prevents waters to push into the granule, only organic substances have the ability to push through the stock. As an example of the high absorption capacity is the fact that oil on a concrete floor will be entirely absorbed. In most cases the floor will becomes completely dry.
Safeguarding of entirely saturated absorbent is facilitated, then Axon AFS/AFX does not contain any additives. Absorbent can be burnt in order to extract energy alt. composting locally. With incineration becomes the ash concentration extreme low and energy content is very high. Incineration or composting should happen at plants that hold necessary conditions.
The absorbent undergoes a complex process during the manufacturing process, but it is important to note that Axon AFS/AFX does not contain any waste products. To extract energy, the absorbent can be burnt, composting locally is an other way of handling it. The energy content is very high, and by incineration the ash concentration becomes extremely low. Incineration or composting should be done at plants that hold necessary conditions and permissions.
The peat undergoes an extensive process at the production of absorbent and is not some kind of waste product. Bering this in min makes it is easier to understand why the price in certain case might appear a little higher than competing products. The production of Axon AFX is optimised through sifting to gain optimum function in filters. All these processing is to optimise the filtering characteristics, and avoiding that the absorbents flows out with the water from the filter.
A more detailed comparison shows that the relation in most cases it reversed. If all aspects are weighed in the Axon AFS is a very cost-effectively absorptions material.
-
• Low water contents - you get what you pay for, Absorbent - not Water.
-
• Environment benefits - short transportation to local destruction plants.
-
• No toxic contents only a pure natural product.
-
• High energy content – cost effective to use the entirely saturated absorbent as fuel.
-
• Very good absorption ability - the consumption of absorbent is limited
-
• Low weight - easy to handle.
-
• Low water contents - Axon AFX/AFS does not go decayed in the wrapping.
-
• Axon AFS/AFX does not absorb water - you only pay to eliminate pollutants, not water.
Axon Transformer Pits ©

The Axon Environment modular filter system is very suitable for industries and dumps. The filter system can be dimensioned to fit most demands and volumes. The collecting basin is welded on site. The size and number of filter wells is selected related to the dimensions of the collecting basin. The industrial version includes an Axon Detector Well which contains the measuring device that verifies the cleanliness of the water. It can be equipped with an alarm and shutoff systems suitable for industrial dumps of class 1 fluids. It can also be used as secondary safety system in accordance with regulations (NFS 2000:4) for the storage of inflammable liquids.
Axon filters for transformer pits/substations
The sales to power companies is growing strong, especially products used fortransformer pits. We offer products and solutions for a cheaper, simpler and moreenvironmentally friendly maintenance of substations. Axon Miljöfilter are today to alarge extent used in the industry as a polishing filter and overflow filter. A number ofpower grid companies are using our filter when emptying transformer pits from watercontaminated with transformer oil. As a principle, all the water in a pit should beclassified as hazardous waste since there is a risk that the water is contaminated withtransformer oil and should therefore either be filtered when emptying withdocumentation or pumped up in a sewer truck and transported for destruction.
Considerations for dimensions.
The size of a transformer pit has entered a new perspective by using an AxonMiljöfilter AMF as overflow filter. Before, according to SIS SS 421 01 01, the pits were sized based on oil volume itransformatorn plus water volume. The entire oil volume in the transformer must fitinto the pit. The water volume is estimated to approx. 300 mm precipitation per sqm.transformer pit between discharge of the pit. A rule-of-thumb is that at 1 m height ofthe transformer pit, the oil will be 70 cm and water 30 cm. This means that when thepit is filled by more than 30% with water, it has to be emptied since it can’t hold thevolume of oil in case of a leak.
The size of the pit shall have the dimensions of the transformer’s width and lengthplus 20% of the height of the transformer on each side.If an Axon Miljöfilter AMF and an Axon Pump well AMP with oil alarm isinstalled in the pit, the water volume does not have to be considered since the watercontinuously is removed through the filter. Therefore the volume of the pit but not thesize can be reduced by 300 mm water per surface unit of the pit. This means the theheight of the pit can drastically be reduced, which in turn will give lower installationcost, depth of the pit and costs for the concrete construction.Another important advantage with an overflow filter is that the oil and acid waterstanding in the pit, which deteriorates the concrete, never is left in the pit and therebyincreases the lifetime of the pit considerably. The oil gets a much shorter standingtime in the pit.
This will also lead to less chance for bacteria to grow in the standingwater.www. Axon Environment modular filter system is very suitable for industries and dumps.
